I had the same reaction to that show.

…our government, a lawmaker etc etc, fill in the blanks from your civics class, and I was just done. The curtain had been pulled back and instead of seeing an interesting, complicated, multi-layered human being, I saw an arrogant, creepy, valueless f*ck who would step over the homeless, pass legislation to terrorize the undocumented, sign another crime bill to amp up mass incarceration, and some more shit.
A couple years ago, my friend and I binge-watched House of Cards three nights straight after work.

I had the same reaction to that show. I made it through two episodes and realized I despised the main character to a degree that made it impossible to watch any more episodes. The asides to the camera drove me bonkers. I thought it was just me.
